Physical size and physical examination: As per the rules, if the required documents of the candidate appear to be correct at the end of the verification, the candidate will have to participate in the physical examination (running, jumping, and rope climbing).
Eligibility of candidates for SI
Age limit
- For general/other quota candidates age should be 19 to 27 years on 8th October 2021 but those who have crossed the age limit on 25th March 2020 will also be considered eligible.
- In the case of children of heroic freedom fighters / martyred freedom fighters, the age should be 18 to 32 years on 1st April 2019 (date of birth minimum from 2nd April 2000 to maximum 2nd April 1987). However, in the case of children of freedom fighters, the age should be 19 to 27 years on April 1, 2019 (date of birth minimum from 2 April 2000 to maximum 2 April 1992).
- Note that the date of birth mentioned in the SSC / equivalent certificate will be considered final. No affidavit is acceptable in the case of age calculation.
Educational Qualifications
Must have a minimum bachelor's degree from an accredited university and have computer experience.
Physical fitness
- Male Candidates (All Quota): Height Must be at least 5-4 or 1.6256 meters and chest size 30 or 0.7620 meters in normal condition and 32 or 0.8128 meters in an extended condition.
- Female Candidates (All Quota): Height at least 5-2 or 1.5748 meters.
- Weight: Weight should be measured with age and height (according to body mass index).
Nationality
The candidate must be a permanent (male/female) citizen of Bangladesh by birth.
Marital Status
Must be unmarried (divorced not acceptable) and must remain unmarried until the end of the training period.
Papers to submit for S.I post
Papers to be submitted along with the application form
- 4 recent photographs (passport size). Attested by a first-class government official.
- Attested copies of all educational qualification certificates.
- Attested character certificate. (Certified by the latest educational institution.)
- Candidate's National Identity Card. If the candidate does not have, his/her father or mother's national identity card.
- Attested copy of the certificate issued by the Deputy Commissioner / Upazilla Nirbahi Officer if the applicant is tribal.
- Attested a copy of the computer training certificate.
- Copy of attested certificate of freedom fighter if an applicant has a quota.
What to bring with the candidate during the physical examination
- Original copy of Educational Qualification Certificate.
- Attested Character Certificate - Certified by the latest educational institution.
- Certified Character Certificate - Certified by Union Parishad / Ward Councilor.
- Candidate's National Identity Card. If the candidate does not have, his/her father or mother's national identity card.
- 3 recent photographs (passport size). Attested by a first-class government official.
- If the candidate has a freedom fighter quota, he must bring a certificate.
